About the painting...

I made several early morning studies of varies angles of the lake. Shortly after 7am, around an hour after sunrise. The painting features a limited palette of cooler blues and violets with a warm cadmium orange to suggest the focal points of the artwork.

As with all my palette knife paintings, the artwork has a thick, impasto type finish only achieved using the palette knife.

The original palette knife painting is completed using the highest grade artists oils on professional grade board.

The painting is framed in a distressed black picture frame with hints of a gold undertone - please see images.
